best gift ever for kids!

I think one of the best things you can do for your children is to push them to take up a sport at a young age (say, three years), and to make every effort to make sure they continue to do it afterwards.

Yes, you can start exercising at any time, and yes, you will get its benefits if you stick, but permanent practice from the beginning has something else to do. It is not just about the immediate health and mental benefits (which need to be covered by many topics), but that sport literally turns into a "lifestyle" that may affect all of a person's choices in his life afterward. The simplest thing is that an athlete will instinctively move away from things that may harm his body, and thus the likelihood of him turning to smoking or drugs is much less than others. This is just an example.

What triggered this matter in my head was a conversation that I had with a colleague of the lab days ago - who is Japanese - when he mentioned in the midst of his speech that he had been refused joining Dojo to teach karate several days ago, because - in our contemporary language - it is above average. When I asked him how long he has been practicing this sport, his response was that he has practiced it for 20 years, knowing that his age is now not more than 23 years in any way.
