What a change is: the time needed!

The main factor on which the success of the change depends or not  is a realistic estimate of the time required to change.

Reread the previous sentence again and ponder it a little. The idea seems quite intuitive, and yet it is often the last thing on a person's mind when changing something.

Why is a "realistic estimate" of the required time important? Because all your plans, moves, goals, and then the results you are waiting for will be organized within this timeframe only. The difference in the real timeframe needed to make a desired change from the one you think means that you will never get there, and it means that you will make a lot of mistakes and make a lot of unnecessary sacrifices.

Imagine someone who wants to lose weight and thinks they can do it in 10 days, maybe because he saw it in a TV commercial, for example. The direct effect of this belief is that his enthusiasm for change will only last 10 days, and if he does not reach what he wants then Sentix will begin to act completely randomly. The second point is that his actions and thoughts will not exceed ten days .. For example, he may think that being completely deprived of food at that time will give better results, so he will try this matter. He might think that getting really intense exercise during these days would be better, so he'll try this as well, and so on. Needless to say, this person will not reach anything.

Now imagine that the same person has taken into consideration that the change he wants will not happen in days, but will happen gradually through a comprehensive change in his lifestyle .. for example reducing sitting periods, exercising a reasonable amount of exercise regularly (instead of burdening his body with money it cannot tolerate), choosing The food he eats (instead of completely depriving himself) ... and so on. Having such a time frame in the individual's head will give him the motivation and vision to "continue" to work for change, and the most important thing is that he will learn patience and not be in a hurry to see results, and all of this will ultimately lead to what he wants.

This thought came to me after an Indonesian friend asked me about the current political situation in Egypt, and when I told him about it, he told me that this situation is identical to the situation that Indonesia went through in the sixties, and that it took until the late nineties that they reached the change they wanted.
